We'll at last Sunday's practice I ended up breaking my thumb trying to do something silly.  Crying or Very sad

It looks like my fighting is going to be severely restricted for the next 6 weeks or so. Guess I get to herald a lot.  Laughing

make sure to let it heal good, Anvil. You know as much as I do how a wrongly healed hand injury can be a long term problem. If you need any help around the house, let me know.

You did something silly?  Please my King do tell, for all those out there may learn not to make the same mistake.

Well I have an appointment with a hand specialist on friday, so I should get a good idea of how long my fighting days are over for then.

As for the silly part, Lupus charged me and I was fighting with my glaive, instead of running I tried to reposition my hand to reverse sweep his legs, unfortunetly I hit his legs before my hand was in place and the handle came back onto my thumb and cracked the bone. It was no fault of Lupus other than running faster than I gave him credit for.  Surprised

I have a near through and through break on the bone at the base of the joint and currently have it in a splint. No real pain as long as I don't smack it against something or forget and flex that digit. Oh well as they say -"Pain heals, girls dig scars and glory last forever"

Wink

You can't say we don't get into the sport fully.  Laughing

Thumb seems to be healing well, but I am starting to move it and the rest of the hand some in the evening becouse they are starting to stiffen and lose flexibility.

The kiddo's knee is still up in the air, we may have to have a MRI done on it next week.  Crying or Very sad

Her surgery is on the 21st of this month.  She will be on crutches for anywhere from 1-6 weeks, depending on how bad the tear is.  Once she is healed she can start fighting and we have no definite timeline.  She is hoping to be better and ready to fight at Olympics.

Best of luck to her and once she's out do NOT let Amalys skimp on her Physical Therapy! It's gonna hurt and be very unsatisfying at the start. But trust me when I say that it's better to do it all the way through than to just live with a certain amount of functionality. Again best of luck to you Amalys, heal fast. As for Anvil.....use the other hand laddie, ye have TWO of 'em fer a reason!  Very Happy
