Defenders of DunlandHEAR YE, HEAR YE:
Warriors take heed,
With the new threat of an organized monster mob attacking our citizens it has been decided to form the Dunland Defenders.
To qualify for this unit you must:
-Have good garb
-Own a shield
-Own at least 1 blue weapon
-Own at least one range weapon (rock, javilen, bow with 6 arrows)
You must also be willing to defend the realm by any means necesary!
The ranking system will follow at a later date, both male and female warriors accepted, only goodly races need to apply!
Our symbol will be the Dunland jackal holding a sword.
If you feel you are up to the challenge to repel the monsters from our midst, summon your courage, gather your supplies and see Anvil upon his return to the realm.

There are no official Dagorhir rules on units; they're very free-form. But it's typical for a unit to require its members to pledge themselves solely to the unit, above all other oaths. In this case, each persona is only in one unit, so it still works.

We will have a ceromony for the Defenders on the 4th or 11th of August, exact date to be announced soon.

all items + 5 areas armored - warrior
all items + 6 areas armored - veteran
all items + 7 areas armored - Defender
all items + 8 areas armored - combat commander
example of me- helmet =1, shoulder armor = 2, torso armor = 1, bracers = 2
that gives me a total of 6 for the veteran status

Senor Anvil,
I, Mako The Spaniard, am currently working on my personal armory. At least two of the requirements shall be met by next practice. Jesus willing, all shall be met by the practice after next. I humbly request to join the ranks of Defenders of Dunland. I would gladly give my life and kill many monstros for my new found home.

Defending my purseBeing the Pikey that I am, I am a merc and will be more than willing to defend dunland as much as dunland would like to fill my couffers. I'm quite "honerable" >;D in my dealings and will take most bribes. Frosty barley pops are just as good as shinies in my eyes.

If we need more mercs I'll keep you in mind. We currently only keep one merc on retainer at all times for his scouting ability.

Can someone fill me in. I thought the Defenders of Dunland already was a unit. I know I was out for awhile with my hurt arm so some information would be nice. Anvil you gave me a belt symbol is it no good anymore? I thought i had joined them last year did you disband?

Yes the Defenders are still a unit and no they did not disband. Mako is declaring his intent to apply for membership and Rihod is declaring his willing ness to work for the defenders if the price is right.

The Defenders aren't going away. Sometimes things on the boards get misconstrued becouse things happen at practice and it sometimes flavors the post to be read a certian way.
How is the arm Plebian? Nothing serious I hope.
