Newspaper Article!I was informed today by Ms. Herron, the newpaper reporter who had wrote our first article and who was gracious enough to show up to our Opener, that Dunland and foam fighting in general will once again be featured in a newspaper article in a new format of the paper that will appear in the April edition.She took several good pictures and showed the ones that will appear, she said that is it very possible that the article will reach 3+ pages along. She will be sending me a copy of it to preview and make sure everything is okay. Once I know for sure, I can take requests for copies of the paper. So if you are interested let me know and I will reserve a copy for you at the cost of the paper. No handling fees will apply! 
This is big news for foam fighting in this area. The newspaper will spread approx. 5 counties and could possibly create a boom of new members in all local chapters. I have been praised for the fact that we have created something that our local communities can take part in, instead of the usual outsourcing so to speak of entertainment. Its something we should all be proud of being part of. Once again, once I know the details of the appearance of the paper article, I will make sure to announce it and let people make requests for copies. |

can we get Dragonpire's and Mittelmarch's contact info in the article? They were there and probably in some of the photo's.
It would also be a good thing for all of us. |

That is wonderful. I know I'd like a copy. If it is all right with you guys I'll most likely have my wife make a pdf out of it so we can put it with the other media events that have happened in Indiana to be perserved.

A copy of the paper, or the pdf would be fine for me. I'd just like to see some random thoughts
and photos from that event, since I was unable to attend.  Here's to hoping that this chapter and
other local ones get more good attention in the media! |

Yes the article is out, was sure to stop and pick up a couple copies on my way to the airport. I have someone getting more copies for me, but since it came out on a different day than I thought the amount of copies that I get is up to them and not myself. Hope everyone had a chance to check it out.

wasnt as long as you made out that it might be but was oretty good. mittlemarch gat a good referance as well. all was good publicity and very bebeficial to the sport. |

Hehehe, my folks read the Banner Graphic. Apparently they found the article they'd put out on the group and wondered if that was the same thing I'd taken part in. >.
You guys might be getting an influx of new members for a while after this. Hopefully you'll get some that are at least over 18 though  .
