RP/Monster sub rulesIt was asked on the other thread and I'm curious also so here is a poll to voice your feelings.
We also need to keep in mind the RP rules are only for local realm use and Dagorhir doesn't have any of these types of rule sets in place.

I would just like to say that the RP rules we are play testing are intended for occatinal use and not ever practice.
For those of you who don't know, We(Rihod, Myself and anybody that would like to be involved) are trying to add more games and senarios to play here in Dunland. Saturdays un-offical practice moster battle was done in more of a quest type setting than a straigh head to head battle. I would love to hear more feed back on these types of games as well.
also I voted for the "I like them, but lets keep it to an occasional thing"
More input please.

Ok not many people that were there are saying much, so i guess I will. The rules are okay, just okay. I understand they are made to create a challenge to the monsters but the monsters literally had to stop for a while to enable the "adventurers" to get anywhere. Having fun is the name of the game, whether we are fighting or playing out a "quest", but when it comes down to it, how many people are really gonna get into it, meaning the "quest".
It was interesting, I am not taking away from it in any way, I guess I am more of a scenario and full combat fan. If played in another area perhaps the "quest" might have been more interesting. I know Tangent had mentioned riddles and such, and that seems like a good idea. All in all, I would participate because I like to fight, but anything more than occasionally might draw people away.
I like that we in Dunland have little things like Brogas ball or off hand wench, it mixes things up to keep things from getting too serious. That aspect will hopefully solidify interest not only in Dagorhir but also in Dunland. I come out each week because it is my time for release and thankfully I have had the good fortune of meeting people like Tangent, Anvil and his family, Kitty and Will, even little Ichigo, just to name a few. While everyone might have a different reason for coming out, I think it is important that we utilize the family type environment that we have and continue to have fun and enjoy the days when we meet.

Thank you Brogas,
I will have to admit it was over powering for the adventuers, they just couldn't handle Ha and his horde of goblins, one troll(with rock) a sea monkey and a giant(which was way to powerful for this type of encounter). We had to enlarger the groups and tell the goblins to pull back.
Keep it coming

I enjoy the rules for rp scenerios and a little mix up from head to head combat. What my goal idealy is to promote some story line that will encourage the use of personas. Say a goblin tribe raids a town people will react differently based on thier personas, members of chu k'tal may join in on the fun whereas the defenders may band together against them. Having the "monster rules" is not to overcomplicate things but to make monster battles and quest more streamline. Definately for occasional use in rp scenerious.

I think the monster rules are fun, and I had a lot of fun with the quest, but I have to say we ought to put it in an area that more re-creates the idea of the quest. It was way too easy because we knew where the monsters were, even when we weren't supposed to because it was so open. Monster rules are okay for an occasional battle, but I like getting more into my persona, and it's hard to do when you can see a monster coming from the other side of the field when you're supposed to be in a - cave, wasn't it??

yes, it was ment to be a cave. cave walls are hard to come by. The wandering monsters and other partys were allowed to chase each other to interact, but the "maze" aspect is what kept some monsters away from a casual confrontation. Also the RP games are ment to get people to play out there personas. I do admit a larger field would make such an adventuer quite fun(and long), such battles have been discussed for play at campouts(say like the informal one at the saddle club).
Thanks for the input keep it comeing and if anybody has any ideas for a game/quest/thing they would like to try/implement please let us know.
